Letter to our Friends in Israel concerning Benny Hinn
February 20, 2007
Dear Editor:
A U.S. based news service recently reported that "Israel's Ministry of Tourism has honored evangelist Benny Hinn for leading Christian tours to Israel"
While tours of this nature may be good for Israel's local economy, Benny Hinn's presence in Israel is bad for the spiritual welfare of the Israeli people.
Dating back to the early 1990's, Benny Hinn has a long track-record of false prophecies, false teachings, and false healings, and is considered by many Christian apologists as the most prolific heretic of our day.
Benny Hinn has even claimed to be a "god" and a "messiah," and has also claimed to have regular visitations from angels, dead people, and Jesus Christ.
When Benny rolls into town, the sick and dying flock to him like lemmings to the sea. They come bringing their diseases and deformities to the man they believe is really sent by God.
But the sick and dying leave Hinn's crusades the same way they came in--suffering, dying, and in wheelchairs.
Yes, Benny Hinn draws the crowds to his "healing" crusades and boosts the local economy for a short period of time. But once the dust has settled, he leaves a trail of broken hearts, broken bodies, and broken spirits.
God does not work miracles through Benny Hinn.
Sincerely in Christ,
Bud Press, Director
