Dear Editor:

In regards to your February 24, 2007 article, "'Winning the lost at any cost,'" please permit me to compliment Jean Christou for an objective, well written article on Benny Hinn's recent visit to Cyprus.

As one among many who has spent years researching Benny Hinn, your readers may be interested to know that controversy follows Benny Hinn in virtually every country he visits.

Despite all of the information and news media documentaries exposing Benny Hinn's deception, professing Christians flock to his "healing" crusades, and blindly contribute their hard-earned money to support Hinn's lavish lifestyle of multi-million dollar homes, expensive cars and jewelry and custom-made clothing.

Benny Hinn claims to have the gift of healing. During his visit to Cyprus, did he bother to visit any of the local hospitals and lay hands on the sick and dying? If so, was anyone cured of sickness and disease? Was anyone raised from their death-bed? Were amputated arms and legs restored? Were precious children raised from their wheelchairs and healed of Spina Bifida and Multiple Sclerosis?

Were the dead raised back to life, as Benny Hinn promised years ago?

Whether here in the United States or in foreign countries, Benny Hinn's so-called "Miracle" crusades leave a trail of broken hearts and tears. Those who attend and "claim" their healing leave the same way they came in--sick, dying, and in wheelchairs.

The article quoted a Cypriot source saying "stories about Hinn being suspect were not true," and that "all of these stories are lies." While no one likes to be called a liar (not even liars themselves), the truth is that Benny Hinn has been proven to be a false prophet, false teacher, and false healer many times over.

Did you know that Benny Hinn has claimed to be a "god" and a "messiah"?

Yes, God still heals and performs miracles. But God does not use Benny Hinn to do it.

Sincerely in Christ,
