The SHELVES of SHAME Award
Dear Reader:
As you know, research on the cultic, heretical, New Age, homosexual and lesbian authors within the online Christian bookstores has been compiled and distributed. Most of the OCBs have made positive changes and removed hundreds of authors across the board. However, some of the OCBs continue to advertise and promote non-Christian authors and materials--in spite of phone calls and updated information. Because of this, and in light of Ephesians 5:11, the SHELVES of SHAME Award was developed to expose the OCBs that continue to promote non-Christian materials to the body of Christ.
Due to the continual influx of non-Christian materials into the OCBs, and a failure on the part of some of the OCBs and distributors to monitor their databases, the SHELVES of SHAME Award will, most likely, become a permanent fixture on Christian Research Service's homepage--for Christians' worldwide to see--and will remain there until the entire Christian bookstore industry stops compromising, develops a sincere concern for the spiritual welfare of Christians, and activates Bible-based guidelines to prevent non-Christian materials from entering into the body of Christ...once and for all.
The SHELVES of SHAME Award will not be exclusive to just the OCBs, but may include regular walk-in Christian bookstores, distributors, publishers and any company or organization that claims to be Christian that is affiliated with the Christian bookstore industry.
The Bible teaches:
No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other You cannot serve God and wealth (Matthew 6:24).
You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons (1 Corinthians 10:21).
Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but expose them (Ephesians 5:11).
…come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you (2 Corinthians 6:17).
Today, deception is so fine-tuned that it is difficult for the average Christian to discern truth from error. This is why it is extremely important for Christians to be watchful and be on guard to the myriad of non-Christian materials flooding the marketplace. As Christians, we cannot, we must not knowingly allow one fellow Christian to be confused and deceived, nor one precious, unsaved soul to stumble in their search for the real Jesus Christ.
Sincerely in Christ,
