Words can't express how much I appreciate your consideration and kindness over the past few months concerning the online Christian bookstores.

I am pleased to announce that because of your concern, changes have and are being made in the type of reading materials being offered to Christians. With your continued dedication, and with the Lord's help, the online Christian bookstores will no longer be a venue haunted by cultic, heretical, New Age, pro-gay and homosexual books and materials.

Today, deception is so fine-tuned that it is difficult for the average Christian to discern truth from error. This is why it is extremely important for Christians to be watchful and on guard to the myriad of non-Christian materials flooding the marketplace. We cannot, we must not knowingly allow one Christian to be confused, nor one precious, unsaved soul to stumble in their search for the real Jesus Christ.

CBA Shares Concerns over 'Heresy, False Doctrine' in Online Bookstores

Two articles concerning the presence of heretical teachings and false doctrine within online Christian bookstores appeared in the June 2004 Christian Booksellers Association Marketplace magazine (pp. 18, 134 and 136). If you have not done so, please take a few minutes to read them. They provide valuable insight and alert the reader to some of the hidden dangers that Christians may encounter while browsing the online Christian bookstores.

Researching the Christian bookstores has been such a blessing to me and to those whose assistance I have relied on. I have spoken to and corresponded with many wonderful people--from bookstore employees to corporate officials; from concerned customers to major distributors--most of whom are just as concerned as we are about the type of materials being offered to the body of Christ.

I pray that everyone within the Christian bookstore industry will take this issue seriously, and not rest until all of the non-Christian materials are removed--once and for all--never to return.

Finally, we are only a few days away from the 55th Annual CBA International Convention, to be held in Atlanta, GA from June 26-July 1. I am praying that during your visit you will take the time to discuss the importance of providing solid, Bible-based materials to the body of Christ, and how best to prevent cultic, heretical, New Age, pro-gay and homosexual authors and materials from infiltrating both walk-in and online Christian bookstores nationwide.

It can be done, and you can make the difference.
