A Letter to the People of India concerning

Benny Hinn and the 'Festival of Blessings'

To the People of India:

As one of many who has researched Benny Hinn's teachings and "healing crusades" for numerous years, it is my responsibility to tell you that many Christians both here in the United States and worldwide consider Benny Hinn a false teacher, a false prophet and a false healer. Indeed, there is plenty of documentation and information to verify this statement.

Benny Hinn does not represent mainstream, historical Christianity. Historic Christianity is sharing the death, burial, bodily resurrection and salvation of Jesus Christ to people throughout the world--not massive "healing" crusades, where innocent adults and children leave the same way they came in--sick and dying.

Historic Christianity is not the "name-it-and-claim-it/prosperity" message, which teaches that it is acceptable for Christians to live a lavish lifestyle with multi-million dollar homes, expensive cars, airplanes and designer clothes, as Benny Hinn and others have taught.

In the past, Benny Hinn has stated that he is "a god" and a "messiah," and has claimed to have regular visits from angels and Jesus Christ. He has also placed ridiculous curses on people (and their children), who disagree with him and expose his false teachings.

Benny Hinn has even wished God would give him a "Holy Ghost machine gun," so he could "blow" a person's head off.

We have monitored Benny Hinn's visits to India on a daily basis, and have read the news releases, including those that mention "suicide" squads and large demonstrations. Although we disagree with Benny Hinn, we do not encourage or condone violence in any shape, form or fashion towards Benny Hinn, his staff or the people of India.

It is our prayer that those who may be planning violence will have a change of heart and not risk their lives and the lives of innocent men, women and children.

We love the people of India. Therefore, we are praying that the people of India and their government officials will strongly consider the seriousness of this situation, and cancel the "Festival of Blessings" immediately to prevent a possible tragedy from happening.

Sincerely in Christ,

Bud Press, Director
