Lakeland: The Movie

The following link is to the YouTube video Lakeland: The Movie.  The caption below the video reads:

In honor of the 4th anniversary of the Florida Outpouring, here’s the full documentary, up for the next week or so.

Here’s the full film, up for a week, in honor and in the hope that in the next time round, an outpouring of the Spirit will not exhaust, pain, or hype the preachers involved (or the filmmakers making films on it).

After viewing this documentary twice—once when it was first made available and again a couple of days ago—I continue to marvel that people will believe and ascribe what is shameless and base to the work of the Holy Spirit, such as in the case of the “outpouring of the Spirit” at Lakeland.  What I saw in the video was an honoring of pagan, disorderly, ignoble, unseemly, and spastic behavior in place of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

“For even though they knew God [through general revelation], they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.  Professing to be wise, they became fools” (Ro 1:21-22).
